SheepSoul® is the high sheep wool lining we use in DASTI's winter parkas and denim jackets. The formula of the lining is unique and patented: to the pile, with the perfect combination of density and height, we add silky fiber to make the lining light, warm and pleasant to the skin. The high porosity of the wool accumulates heat in each villi, and the silky fiber, combined with the parka's membrane fabric, wicks away excess moisture, keeping you dry and comfortable while you wear the parka. In the process of wearing, the "living" lining of SheepSoul® adjusts to the curves of the body.
The process of transforming sheep's wool into a soft and cozy SheepSoul® wool lining is a real art, which was developed by DASTI technologists through research and experiments for 4 years. And despite the fact that the process of creating the perfect wool lining takes a lot of time, the final product - SheepSoul® - has many natural advantages.
We are proud of the quality of SheepSoul®, which is based on 100% natural sheep wool - no blends and no compromises.

So how is our unique SheepSoul® wool lining made? We tell in detail.
Every year, at the end of winter, shepherds shear their sheep using an electric tool (similar to a razor) that removes all of the sheep's wool in one piece. The annual fleece of one sheep can weigh more than 8 kilograms, although most are usually around 4-5 kilograms. The most important priority is that the shearing process takes place with the utmost care and does not cause any harm to the sheep. After shearing, a short pile remains, which prevents the sheep from overheating in the hot summer months and allows the animals to safely enjoy the warmth.
Next, there is a hygienic cleaning of the raw material, which takes place in several stages, during which dirt, any impurities, as well as natural fat from wool fibers are removed from the wool. After complete processing, the raw material is ready for the next stage - straightening.
After the process of hygienic cleaning of the wool, the fibers go through the process of straightening and combing. Sheep wool, by nature, is curly, and during the straightening stage, special machines stretch the fibers through small metal teeth, which straighten the wool and make it soft and fluffy. In the process of straightening, the fibers are cut into thin flat pieces, which at the end are formed into elongated long sheets of wool.
The next stage is spinning. It is at this stage that pieces of wool are transformed into material that can be used in production in the future. Thanks to a special wheel, 2-5 strands of wool are twisted together to create strength. The result is long and strong pieces of wool that we all know as yarn.
Next, we proceed to the painting stage. Wool absorbs water quickly, which makes it very susceptible to dyeing. During the creation of the SheepSoul® lining, it is dyed in the recognizable color of Champagne, adding a dye of the desired shade.
But most importantly, no animals were harmed in the production of SheepSoul® lining! After all, we are trying to take care of the animal world and we invite everyone to join us!
A lot of thought and time went into creating our product, so we decided to patent our invention to preserve its value and uniqueness. That is why, we remind you that the sole and exclusive owner of the rights and patent for the SheepSoul® lining is DASTI. Any violation of the patent owner's rights leads to liability in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine, Russia, Europe and the USA.
